How does your claims process work?
For Repairs
- Go to Existing Client Services and select File A Claim
- Follow the steps online for submitting the claim
- Approved claims will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours
- Print out the shipping label attached to the approval email
- Bring the device along with the shipping label into your nearest post office
- Ship your device in a priority flat rate box or envelope that can be found at the post office
- Keep an eye on your email for any claim updates, including when we receive your device and a tracking number for when it is on its way back to you.
For Lost or Stolen Devices
- Go to Existing Client Services and select File A Claim
- Follow the steps online for submitting the claim
- Within an hour you will receive email with your next steps in getting your claim approved
- Follow the steps in the email
- Report your device as lost / stolen by asking your carrier to blacklist your device
- Complete the online affidavit and blacklist verification form
- File a police report with your local police
- Submit a copy of the report using our easy online system
- Submit proof of ownership using our easy online system
- Approved claims will receive a confirmation email with a invoice for the deductible within 48 hours of receiving all required documents
- Pay deductible online
- Your new device will be shipped to you after payment is made

How do I find my serial number?
Most products will have the serial number located on the surface of the product. If you cannot locate the serial number on the product use the method below:
- On a Mac, go to the Apple Menu and select “About This Mac”
- On a iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, iPod, or Apple Watch, go to Settings -> General -> About
How do I find my IMEI/MEID number?
IMEI/ MEID numbers are used only on devices with cellular capabilities. Most products will have the IMEI number located on the surface of the product. If you cannot locate the IMEI number on the product use the method below:

Does my device need to be brand new?
No! We cover both new and used devices as long as they are in good working order.
Do you cover devices from all carriers?
Yes! We cover devices from all carriers.
If you are interested in our lost / theft coverage please be sure your carrier is able to blacklist your device, as it is a requirement for lost/theft claims.
Does your coverage have limits?
One benefit you get with Smart Tech is unlimited claims. Most other companies will terminate your coverage once repairs or replacements exceed a specific dollar amount or a set number of claims are made within a certain period of time. Smart Tech does not limit the number of claims that you can make. We are in business to cover your device no matter how many times your device is dropped, broken or lost. You can rest assured knowing that you are covered no matter what.
Can I transfer my coverage to a new device I purchased ?
Yes! Our coverage is fully transferable at any time with no fees.
Who can enroll for Smart Tech coverage ?
Our coverage is designed for anyone that owns an iPhone, iPad, MacBook, or Apple Watch, new or used. This includes individuals, businesses, education facilities, and more.
Do you offer coverage against theft?
We do! Theft coverage is available on any Platinum Plan.
How do I file or track a claim ?

Is there a time limit on when I can enroll?
No! Unlike many other companies, we cover new and used devices. You can enroll your device at any time while it is in good working order.
How long does it take to get my device repaired?
Our goal is to repair your device within 3 days from receiving device to shipping the device back out to you.
